About Me

Hi, my name is Makenna and I have always had a passion for all things natural wellness. I have a background in science with a Biochemistry degree and have experience working in a forever chemical laboratory.

In the past few years, my eyes have been opened to the fact that we are exposed to countless unnecessary toxins. We are told that the food on our shelves is edible when in reality it is packed full of artificial and bioengineered ingredients that feed diseases rather than promote health. We are told that sickness, both physical and mental, should be treated with pills, and we are quick to disregard the fact that food is medicine and that holistic healing techniques have incredibly powerful benefits.  We are misled by consumerism and sold toxic products that open the doors for disease to enter our bodies.

My goal here is not to scare you, although I do believe we should be more alarmed by what we put in, on, and around our bodies. Rather, my goal is to pique your interest in following me along my journey to educate myself and others on how to avoid common toxins, utilize food to heal our bodies rather than kill them, and understand how to enhance our lives through holistic living.

Let’s begin!

Goals of the Blog

To point out the toxins in our everyday lives and provide ways to avoid them

To highlight the medicinal functions of certain food groups and provide recipes to help incorporate them into everyday meals.

To show the healing power of many holistic techniques to help improve the mind, body, and soul.

Main Topics of Discussion

Please note that all blog posts and information will be written from my understanding and takeaway of research written by scientists and educators all over the globe. My posts will be written from my perspective and in my opinion, which may not match yours. What may work for me may not work for you – always listen to your doctor, but realize the importance of natural wellness, ask questions, and learn to heal and prevent sickness before being forced to treat it with unnatural and expensive techniques.
